Another Norfolk Island Photo.
These trees (Morton Bay Figs) have fascinated me.The shape of the roots and the colours are straight out of the movie - "The Lord of The Rings. This is Middle Earth territory.
The photo has been lightened, framed and resized for TL but is pretty much what was photographed.
I hope that you enjoy the scene as much as I do.

Hi Robert,
Great trees. They look simular to the kind of trees you find in the tropics. Did you try to bang on the roots with a stick? This is the way some of the natives in the jungle communicate. The sound created travels a long way. I like your POV and the color tone of your photo. I do see some purple color in the first tree.

Hi Robert,
Fantasy and fantastic.Really love it.
Bev

the colors you have given this one makes it look like a painting or a phantasy picture from a movie.

Hello Robert,

I opened this one and my eyes immediately went to my 'Myrtle Tree in Rain Forest' by the late Peter Drombrovskis. Some may say it looks unreal but I have seen such colourings in one of the temperate rain forests close to Launceston. Strange light in these forests reflect some awesome colours. TFS,
David

Interesting image!! A very otherworldy looking place. I like how you composed this piece, especially the strange and colorful roots. Nice work!

Hi Robert,

Good line and composition
Like the colors
But I have the feeling that a bit more contrast will help

This is a very nice detail, Robert. I like the trees, as you say, very Lord of the rings. But your composition and color really make it work. I looks like you did some great work on Norfolk Island, but this may well be my favorite. If I had a suggestion it would be to tone down the frame, it's a bit busy and distracts from the shot.
Best wishes,
Mike

Hi Robert, just been looking through your gallery with interest, I remember seeing some of your photos some time back.. with scences from Emily Bay, Norfolk Island..and this one I remember so well.. these trees are totally amazing when you see them.. and the lovely little country roads you drive down here.
I was there a few years back (actually been twice), I only wish I had of had a digital camera, and been into photography then as I am now.

Thanks for sharing..

You have some wonderful photos.

Kind regards
Dawn (New Zealand)
