| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This young Cassowary was with his(?) family in a wildlife park near Airlie Beach, Australia.
The parents were quite aggressive (they are stereotypically known for this behaviour and can be quite dangerous) but the young were just wary.
Eventually managed to get one reasonable shot.
The distinctive blue colouration and the high crest of the adult have not yet formed, which leaves the face looking rather incomplete with just the starting point for the crest (or whatever it should be called) and the eyes appearing to be rather unbalanced within the face. |

Excellent macro with great details on the eye. The colours are also very good. Well done.
