Bougainvillea
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I found this bougainvillea growing next to the road.
I have sharpened the photo, reduced it in size and framed for posting.
"The very first Bougainvilleas were climbing plants that originated in tropical South America.
But it was after the discovery of the species now known as Bougainvillea ‘Mrs Butt’ in the early 1900s that earnest propagation and hybridisation really started. The flamboyant colour of these tropical beauties comes from the bracts that surround the rather insignificant flower. In cooler temperate climates Bougainvilleas will have one summer flowering season, but in warmer climates they spot flower throughout the year."

Hi Jeanne
Again the framing made the picture look great. Good use of light and nice colors.
Cheers

Ciao Jeanne
You have a beautiful gallery!
Interesting simplicity, as the purple flowers stand out so well in the cool green background!
The delicate petals out with sharpness and beautiful colors, the angle of light and adds life ...
From very tasteful and well composed!
Greetings
