I originally posted this as an Orchid, but I have since found that it is a Spanish Iris.

S/S 1/1, f10, ISO 100, F/L 55.0

Photo taken under skylight on my kitchen bench, against black cardboard background. I have adjusted levels, sharpened, cropped and reduced in size for posting.

Hello Jeanne.
Very striking image that led me to look in your gallery at all the fine floral shots there. You seem to enjoy experimenting with frames, which suits your favourite subject matter.
This one is sharp and clear like the others, with the black carcboard very well rendered in the light conditions. I would say it is definitely an orchid.
Very nicely done.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Jeanne
Very original framing although the orange is taking away some attention from the flower. Good picture of the flower, sharp and nice composition.
Cheers
David
