[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
at a school i used to teach at, one of my friends who teaches there, was raising money for cancer research. people would donate money for him to have his head shaved. on the day of the big shave, the whole school gathered to watch the spectacle. i knew the shot i wanted to get for about 2 weeks leading up to the event. unfortunately, things didn't turn out the way i exactly wanted them to, but this is actually pretty close to what i wanted.

i wanted to have the children facing the front, looking at the guy getting his head shaved. unluckily, the were facing the other way, and i only have a few of them actually looking towards the front. i wanted to add to the mood by taking away the colour. as well, as just having the children stare at the hand as it took his hair/dignity away, like the boy down the front for example. a good bit of money was raised to help the cause...

I really like the part in your intro that says " In contrast, I guess I would describe my style as drive-by shooting."
That is only what life allows some days.

For this photo, I believe you captured what you were looking for. You have lots of the kids intently watching.. Some may be more interested in getting thier photo taken but your POV worked well in keeping their focus near where the action is.
You have a lot of noise in this photo, I'm not sure what caused it. I'm not good enough at all of this to know. But your photo caught my eye, when I read the notes and your profile I had to comment and tell you I think you are on the right track to getting good photos.
