[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Some smart seagulls resting in the shade, on a hot summers day in February. The Einbunpin Lagoon in the bg is a favourite of black swans, peahens, & pelicans.

"Sandgate lies on the northern shores of Moreton Bay in the City of Brisbane. There are sweeping views to the east over Moreton Bay to Moreton Island and north to Woody Point on the Redcliffe Peninsula. On a clear day large ocean going freighters can be seen entering the mouth of the Brisbane River at Fisherman’s Island.

A favourite place for all residents and visitors to Sandgate is Einbunpin Lagoon. On Brighton Road, in the centre of Sandgate across from the shopping centre, Einbunpin Lagoon is a wonderful place to rest and relax to watch the tortoises sitting in the sun and wild ducks, swamp hens, ibis, herons and pelicans feeding and swimming. In the Einbunpin Parkland, there is a rotunda, children’s play area and a bridge over the lagoon."

Beautiful Chris. Colors are rich and nicely saturated. Nice composition with the gulls in the FG and the little buildings in the back. Maybe a little OE on the white rooftops and the white clouds, but still a great scenic shot.

Your picture is inviting. It tells to come and see by myself. How did you manage to keep FG and BG so clean and sharp at the same time? The combined effect of shadows, colors and perspective give me some interesting matter to try on next time I shoot. Thanks for sharing.

visual, they are just admiring!

magnificient capture of this vibrant vivid colors arranged and presented lively in this shot...very sharp and the clarity is superb, the seagulls look like having a relaxing time under that tree's shadow,(I can just imagine:)superb perspective and the atmosphere is pretty charming.. this is excellent..

Oh I like this deep saturation of color tone for such a 'tropical' look. Very nice landscape view of the lagoon and captured with good depth to show the green around the water.
