Eucalyptus blossoms
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Australia is the country of Eucalyptus trees, also called gum trees. I found this beautiful red-flowering kind in Tasmania, where trees were in full bloom in February (summer). Here you can see three states of development: the buds, the blossoms and the finished blossoms, where the gum nuts will grow. If you look close, you'll also notice two little bees working their way thhrough.
I hope you like it.

Hi Cordelia- nice shot of this beautiful red blossom great colors and DOF! Nicely done!
Best wishes,
Steve
Lovely image Cordelia. I am still amazed when I see these gums here in Tasmania. They are native to my birth state of Western Australia where there are whole forests of them. Good rich natural colours, vibrant and well defined. TFS,
David
