I wandered into our lounge room during the week while Sandy was playing her 12 string Takamine; needless to say I took the opportunity to sit to one side and attempt to capture her fingers as they moved along the fret board. In the workshop the coloured version and thanks once more to Helen for the opportunities.

Hello David,

A wonderfully focussed shot! The details of the fingers show all the pressure and sensitivity needed when playing an instrument.

I like your pp work!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi David,

Beautiful detailed and artistic picture of Sandy's hands (and rings). I can not compare yet, but I have the feeling B&W is the way to go here.

Clever shot and although the pp work is not to my tastes, I appreciate the work involved and how it could appeal to many - interesting effect. Sharp details on the hand and rings - impressive stuff overall.

Hello David,
Great photo (and note, special the end) with an amazing hand, with all those rings creating a very special mood. Great light and compo.
Superb and original posting. Congrats my friend,mb

Hi David,
Very nice composition for the theme, nice details and well presented and composed, nice focus and sharp picture with a good contrast in black & White, very good in color too.
Have a nice day, my compliments,
Michel

Hi David,
This is an attractive isolation of the fingers playing the guitar. The selective desaturation is effective. I can almost hear the music playing. Best regards, Danilo

Hello David

Beautiful close
I always liked hands.
I find them beautiful, big, small!
And I like all the ones that play any
instruments, but I love the ones that play violins.
Beautiful shot and great addition to the theme.
Congratulations

Bom dia David

Hello David

As usual a very good contribution to the Friday theme. I like all the hard work you put into this. The colour on the outer border contrasts well with the greyscale on the hand. Lovely clarity and detail on fingers and hand - Yes and also the rings. All fits in very well with the music image.

Really nice and sensitive shot.
I thought did something similar like this,
but with one Venezuelan instrument of
4 strings named CUATRO(four), but I had not time to find one. When I can, I will do.

Mario

I really like this!! Especially in b&w! A very nice contribution to the theme, I really like the framing. Great idea! TFS and have a great day!

Hi David,
That is a C chord ... nice capture. I like the way you process this using mixed format ... nicely done. Very good tonal range and image clarity. Well composed! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

ps --- I tried pointing a finger and only three fingers points back at me as my thumbnail does not point back at me. Ummm ... I'm just wondering how Louise Nizer does it :)

Expressions are here.

Hello David,
Wonderful idea and original,..real fingering of music..
Nice capture and good framing..
Good contribution to Helen's theme..

CM

Hi David,
She must be very talented to handle twelve strings...four on a ukelele are too many for me;)
I like the tight crop on her hand, but I must say I prefer the WS version, it shows the detail of the instrument better.
A good contribution to the theme nevertheless.
Pete.

Excellent capture.
Love the PP work you did to enhance the photo.
Excellent sharpness and details.

How can she play with nails that long :-)????? I have to cut mine to the bone.
And Takamine, the RR (my opinion) of acoustic guitars. I have a 6 string one.

Hands and musical instruments I always find fascinating, David. Good focus and composition. I like the B&W treatment here, but I also like the pink rose decoration that I noticed in the workshop!
Hope your day is filled with music,
Karen

Hello David
An encounter of two artists: The first vibrates the chords, while the second creates an appealing setup that concentrates attention on the mood!
A jazz festival is going on in Montreal until mid-july.
Have a g'day.

Hello David,I wasn't around to participate in this particular theme, so missed seeing all the shots. This is a fine example; very sharp, clear and well presented.
I like your decision to come up really close to the hand so that we can focus on it totally.I think that b&w was a good choice.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Thanks for your comments on 'Pretty in Pink'.

Hi David,
Something different fro m you but nevertheless very good!
Very creative image and excellent PP work! Well done.
