[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The dredge has been seen before elsewhere in my gallery, this photo taken on the second day of heavy autumn fog.

Winter here in Launceston has been a mild affair so far with the minimum temperature being -3C and the days between 11C- 17C. Some snow has fallen in the highlands to the East and the West but not enough for the ski resorts to open. Rain is still desperately needed with parts of the central Midlands in the 9th year of drought.

Hi David,
These Milimili fog picture stay very intrigue my friend, can't get enough of them. Like this one too; almost mysterious. Great composition really an eyecatcher!
Hans

The narrow depth of field really adds to this photo as it helps give the feel of the fog. Placement of the subject in the frame appears to be perfect.

David,
With the photo and the note you were able to show us the complete scene.
TFS,
Wellington

Good morning David, lovely peaceful shot, the composition and the clarity are great.
I know where you live, but every time I see the town, Launceston mentioned I think of the West Country in the UK.

Cheers

It's absolutely wonderful how good an atmosphere a picture with no horizon but a slowly fading into the fog gives you.
David, another very enjoyable picture, that makes a dredge seem poëtic.
I love the sense of relaxation this picture provides.

Hello David..
Oh the fog master.. Another wonderful control of the fog.. The dredge looks so alone lost in the fog! nice...

Tricia

ps we had fog 2 mornings ago and I forgot my camera.. darn it!

What a great quote, David.
I will have to remember to look them up again!

This is your art! You really are the fog king of TL. It is moody and interesting with so few props!
The rippled reflections add an interesting depth to the image whilst the fog gives an all encompassing b/g. (I found myself screwing up my eyes, searching the fog for signs of any other vessel or object! Nothing!)

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi David,
Shooting under foggy conditions is actually fascinating ... you get instant desirable shallow DOF. I like the minimalistic outcome of the composition with the fog blocking all the background ... lovely result. I like the reflections as this added dimension to the scene. Well captured and composed! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

Aha David another creative shot from your lens.

you have captured the colours with the sharpness in this light and the mist.

Hello David
A dredge lost at sea that has only its own reflection for company! The mood of loneliness is stryking.
Have a g'day.
