I would like to thank everyone who passed on their best wishes for my recent birthday. For those who posted images, the wishes tendered through comments on those images and the numerous emails I received from, my sincere thanks.

The morning I took this photo I went down to the Tamar first thinking that there may have been fog there. No fog but a nice light and after an hour or so I decided to head to the St Leonards picnic ground, that is where I should have been to get the fog.

Nice work on this one David! I constantly have to remember that you are in the grips of winter, but it's hard while I wipe the sweat from my brow! HAHA! Nice rich color, excellent sharpness!

Those golden willows reflect the low sunlight very nicely David. Quite attractive.
Next time stand a little to the right so the seat still shows but not the concrete bridge column. It is a bit distracting. (IMHO)
Still it's another view of a place I recognise,

Nice early morning light David,

I am beginning to get the feeling that when I would visit Tasmania, it will somehow look familiar (no , no such visit planned I'm sad to say).
Lovely light and a wonderful way to start your day.

Many thanks to you, David.

This is a beautifully composed shot!
It actually brought to mind a shaggy Chinese dragon! Can you see it?
Good lead in lines and excellent details.
The light and shadows add good depth.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Nothing much like early morning light and here it brings out some wonderful colors and highlights.
Very interesting shape of the tree and it's branches, almost evokes a pre-historic elephant to me, but that's just me. ;0)
Beautiful capture of a beautiful moment in a spectacular location.
Well done,
Wilt

sorry David, i have not been to your gallery this week only today.. you are so much welcome on the wishes..

Hi David, Well balanced composition. Willow trees are a favorite subject of mine, especially next to water. This is a clear clean photo with perfect blue skies beyond. TFS. Murray.

Hi David,
A very pleasant shot. You should create your trees theme :) Lovely colours and details. The entire composition is beautiful, but the pictures looks slightly grainy - or is it my screen?
Well seen and captured, congrats!

Hi David,
Once again, a favorite willow . . . interesting layers . . . the tree, the bench, the bridges, more trees, and the hills gently draped in a haze.
Great composition!
Take care,
Karen

Hi David,

do I know this willow..? *s* Anyways it's lovely and taken with beautiful side light. Well placed within the frame, with enough space around not to feel tighhtened indside te frame. tfs

Nicely composed, David! Regrettably, I didn't track Birthdays (my own included, as I had mentioned before) - Best wishes (belatedly) and many more to come!
Double Cheers
