Oh, so much work, just to follow those instructions, but it is worthwhile, as the flowers in this photo are so beautiful. I love the composition, the sharpness, the colors and the frames. A premature Rhododendron, how quaint. I wish they would grow here (alas, only on the coast, we are too cold). Super sharp throughout, great pp work to keep the attention on the crisp looking flowers just starting to unfold.

You worked hard on that one, David!
A piece of art that appears at first glance as a paper flower, for the reason of wrinkles on petals.
The soft light is for beautiful details in mid-tones and highlights.
The halo aroud flower adds to the "popping out" effect.
