[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A couple of required trips to the city this week gave me the opportunity to take a few new images for this week’s theme. After processing a dozen and deleting all but three I then asked ‘she who must be obeyed’ for her opinion. The three choices were this one, a B&W of the same arcade taken Tuesday and a coloured image of another walkway, I had already decided on the sepia one before Sandy confirmed the choice.

Another of Australia's wonderful shopping arcades. From NZ I think that most people who visit Oz really go to see the shops!!
An everyday scene Dave, and having the lady in the far, far distance is good. She is what you are framing!!

Like the framing David, could be taken here in Holland, because words like House/Gifts/Sale seem to have been adopted here as if it was Dutch ^-^.
I was wondering if it would look better if you loose the FG, so I made a WS.

hi david.

after appreciating your shot, LOL with the notes. they're everywhere, yah. the powerful ones. kidding aside, i like it. the compo, POV and the decision on sepia. your lucky to have the place with less people at that time of the day. nice shot.

roald

*is the light tone ring on the top railings moisture effect on your lense or light reflection?

this is a good set-up, like the conversion to b&W.
your usage of the metal arch is nicely done.

Hi David

Beautiful the look!
the color sépia was excellent for
to frame your theme for Friday!
Beautiful the corridor that seems to have me several
stores of I trade, from one end to the other!
Good entrance for the theme.
Greetings!

Hi David

Good use of diminishing linear perspective, with the silhouetted human figure nicely placed & framed on the vanishing point. Tfs!

Hello David
Despite the inviting tunneled perspective there's not many people taking advantage of the "winter sale"!!
The proximity of boutiques reminds me of those hidden treasure chests found in many touristic cities.
By the way, who attributes to him or herself the right to decide of a theme?
Thanks.
Robert

Hello David,

This certainly fits the theme well!
I like your pov. The the eyes are drawn to the person with the trolley and in our own minds, we push the trolley towards the light at the end of the corridor. You have controlled us well!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hiya David

I love it! what an excellent composition, very well balanced, a nice interesting POV with good detail and lighting and well suited to sepia converstion.

TFS and for joining in the theme

Kind regards Helen

This is very nice in sepia, gives it a great feel, and goes well with the architecture. An interesting scene. TFS and have a happy day!

This is very unlike your usual work David.

I like the timeless sense this photograph provides. The perspective of the arcade is beautifully presented, with the reward for the viewer a silhouette at the far end.

Nicely done

Oh now THIS is different for you David AND JUST SUPERB!! Love the sepia treatment! PERFECT for this type of shot! Love the light at the end of the tunnel, perfect framing! Outstanding post David!

hi David

What better way to frame than this building arcade corridor! Very appropriate sepia tone for this type of building interior finish.

My eye is lead to the trolley guy and the end entry with a standing person.

tfs, bill

Hello David,
The natural isolation of the brick arcade is effective, the tunnel-like effect is evident with the light seen at the end. Nicely presented, the shopper with the cart adds depth. Danilo

Again something different David,a very moody picture, the B&Wfits very well.

hi David, great shot, excellent composition adn choice for the theme, looks like two natural frames in one, each framing one person, decisive moment as you captured both in excellent positions in relation to the composition
