[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
There was a time when I would attempt to load an image a day, vacations excepted. I have had a couple of periods of time out since my journey on TL began with this image and these days my photos may get added three times a week.

I have also carried out some ‘cleansing’ of my gallery on two occasions resulting in the removal of 122 photos, today’s photo plus those deleted make 500. No doubt some will voice opinions about this removal but I have saved the comments/critiques made on the majority.

I am pretty sure that I was the first to post quotes on a daily basis when I posted this to celebrate 100.

For what would have been number 500 a return to the willows at St Leonard’s picnic ground where my digital experience and my love affair with fog began, this image from this month on one of only 4 days this winter where the fog lingered.

Well, I certainly know this scene... And I've seen it in all conditions too - foggy and clear, winter and summer...
Nice one Dave - again. One day you'll have to get someone to sit on the seat.

Hi David,
I like what you can do with these foggy, low light images.
You bring out such warmth and sharpness, while retaining the softness of the fog.
Great work,

The fog master is at it again :)
superb composition here with the tree neatly filling the vertical and yet well-placed off-centre in the horizontal

Seems to me I sort of recognise the places if I would visit your hometown - this tree I have seen in different weather conditions and again you have made the most attractive picture - I sure want to have me a picture in the mist, but there are too many distractions where the willows are growing just around the corner of my house - still, when we get a fog I will give it a try - the effect is wonderful (I will use your instructions on PP work to make it presentable then - of course.

I love this tree, and your fog is always super nice David! Excellent smooth tones and exposure!..B-)

Hi David, Your foggy landscapes and especially river views are always a delight to see. This is good and the comparison with the second photo a good idea. The tall lamp adds to both. TFS. Murray.

Hello dear David, just lovely as always! Nice foggy picture on the willow tree. Funny how those trees make perfect composition for this weather.
Good lead-in line from the street.

Cheers! Yan

Hello David
Superb photo and a «master» composition with the magic scenario comming to us through the white lines of the road oppening all the frame.
Fantastic the fog capture and the gardem chair in deep. Simply fantastic and beautiful. Great mood.
Congrats, mb
PS: I love the new photo of your intro related with your note here; great sense of narrative. »Chapeau», «Bravo».

Hello David,
there is something magical, magnificent and romantic about the willow, isnt there? And you capture that here is your marvellous composition. The fdog creates a special kind of extra magic too and the bare branches seem to brush the fog.

David Hi:

Hello David
The essence of subtlety, as the willows appear as a charcoal drawing on a mostly-virgin canvas!
Have a g'day.

This has a nice oriental feel to it - like a sumi brush painting. Good continuation of the series, David!

hello David

It is very obvious of your affection for fog in many of your photos. A capture like this has a quality that is almost like a painting, with its softness and artistic touch.

It is never easy to capture the effect of fog on a scene by digital device and mostly it may differ from what we see visually at the actual scene. So, I must say well done.

Hello David,
I have missed being here on TL and am happy to come back but have alot of catching up to do! I love your photos of the misty air and the harbor scenes for sure. This is a beauty, although it makes me feel lonely seeing the bench and the thick fog with the willow....lovely shot though. As for your quotes...I have so many of them saved...I love them, please don't ever stop posting them...:)
