I was not at all happy with the imperfections I mentioned when this was initially loaded so here is my first repost. The only alteration to the original PP work was to increase the amount of noise reduction from 10 to 20.

Not quite what I originally had in mind for this week’s theme but under the circumstances which I found myself in the best I could manage, one of many clumps of Jonquils flowering on our garden at the moment, sitting in semi shade with the photo taken during a period of cloudiness.

It would appear that I have loaded the incorrect image, this one has many imperfections around the edges of the flowers especially near the borders.

PP Work - PSP X

Adjust - Hue and Saturation - Hue/Saturation/Lightness - Hue 0, Saturation 20, Lightness -5
Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Curves
Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Levels
Digital camera noise removal - noise 10, blend 70
Cropped, resized and saved as a PSPIMAGE

Copied the image as a new layer which was then hidden
Selection - Rectangle - inner border - inverted
Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - Radius 15.0
Effects - 3D effects - Buttonize - outer border
Inverted - 3D effects - Buttonize - inner border
Selected Raster layer and erased around the flower and the inner border
Saved as JPG image

hello David,
imperfections or not they are very pretty flowers.Having said that, they do remind e of poached eggs!Still, their yellow is mellow and so a fitting contribution to the theme.

Wow, hope you're doing better, healthwise that is. I went through a similar scare with untreated bronchitis and a little touch of asthma; I'm stubborn and tied to fight through it but one night I couldn't even walk 5 feet without being seriously out of breath; thought I had really done it that time but the same treatment pulled me out at the ER. Nice to breathe.
Anyway, I like this shot a lot, imperfections notwithstanding, it has a wonderful soft and smooth feel to it.
TFS,
Take care,
Wilt
