A return to April 25th of this year, the day I also took Autumn Fog, Autumn Fog I, Beijing Bound, Looking down and Sound of Silence, the original image can be seen in the workshop.

Dominic Moneypenny, who featured in Beijing Bound battled illness and a race through the repechage at Beijing to finish in 6th place in the final. After turning 48 this week it has been rumoured that he is now considering downhill racing.

Hi David

Moody & atmospheric, thanks to the sea fog. I like the muted colours. Good sharpness & framing. Tfs!

Hello David,

Apart from a few muted colours which tell you differently, you could almost believe that this had been desaturated.
The whole effect is one of stilness, of calmness; even the little boy appears unhurried.
I love the soft reflections. In places, it is difficult to see where the reality ends and the reflection begins!
Lovel composition.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello David,
The fog enveloping the scene is most attractive and provides great ambience. I have no complains with the artistic or technical details of the image. The red shirt from the person in the picture is a wholesome bonus. Thanks for the update on Dominic Moneypenny. Best regards, Danilo

I never can think of something new or original to say about these wonderful works of yours, my friend of many faces. Each and everyone are beautiful in their mystery of fog. Yet details are easily seen and enjoyed. Another wonderful addition to your galley.

Beautiful and mysterious David.
I really love that atmosphere. Great details showing and beautiful soft tones.
Funny how sometimes particular pictures appeal more than others, even though those "others" are also very good pics...

You are so good at these type of shots!! It must be wonderful to live close to the ocean. These reflections and the water looks so crystal clear. A beautiful image! TFS

Hi David,

It is the combination of the fog and the amazing clarity that, together with the perfect composition, makes your "fog" picture so appealing. How I wish I knew a place like this - it must give you a lot of satisfaction to see the end result.
Absolutely love it.

ciao David..
what a beauty this capture.. as the precedents.. there is always a big mood.. of course, by fog.. but also by your wonderful ability to take details and compositions! many thanks
ciao Marco

hello David,
That is one big Cat, and built for speed. I am glad you included the original image in the WS. The rendering of the foggy atmosphere is very well done, with the soft tones, splendid detail and almost a desaturated feel. The young lad adds dimension to the image.
Thanks for the note.

Hi David,
Excellent work again on this one, and as has been mentioned, the perspective added by the person next to the big cat is an added bonus.
Great smooth, soft and sharp, all at once, presentation and composition here.
The reflections completely add to the soft and quiet mood of this photo story.
Very nicely done and created.
Thanks,
Wilt

Thanks for providing the original as well, David. I think you added just enough contrast to create a much stronger picture than the original, without taking away the mood that is created by the mist.
Nice work.

Hey David,
very good composition and crop.
Again, good rendering of the atmospheric conditions.
