18 shots taken of Sandy’s dragon chess set and all to no avail. While sipping my afternoon coffee I decided to try some photos of my mug. Washed the mug (the rings are aging), camera hand held and flash set to fill flash and 3 quick shots, hopefully this fits the requirements for this week!

Great colour in this loved mug, my friend of many faces. One can see that it is well used. I am impressed that there is no reflection of the flash on it at all. When I read the theme requirements I think this would work perfectly. Super details, great colours and a warm image.
Warmest Regards
Wanda

So you didn't have to climb up on a chair for this pic Dave!!
Attractive cup - I would have cleared the reading matter away first though!
Not too bad at all. . .

Janice

This put a smile on my face, the cup is very cute :) Good detail and colors and a creative idea. TFS

Hi David,
This week's theme is perhaps one of the most difficult ones. A very personal and humorous contribution showing the smiling bird on your coffee mug. I wish you a good day as I scribble this note from Memphis, TN airport where my flight back home was just canceled. Best regards, Danilo

Hello David

Beautiful your coffee cup!
I like these drawn cups and of different formats!
I was curious to know the theme of this Friday!
Beautiful shot, clean and of excellent definition!
Congratulations for the entrance of the theme.
Greetings!

P.S. Try making a paste of baking soda and gently scrubbing the rings -- I am always amazed at the stains I can get out that way - safer than bleach too!

David - not just the cup is a great idea, but I like the BG detail, very fitting with the hint of magazines to the left.
Curious as to whats directly under the cup, is that a reflection or is it a glass table top?
Wayne

Hello David,

A well-used cup ... does that tell us something of your life style?

The transfers on it are very important as they make it both interesting and colourful. The light and shadows are an artist's dream! Just look how they show the lip of the cup!

A well composed view.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

HI David
Now why did'nt I think of this? Like you I photographed a lot of stuff while dragging my coffee mug with me.
You did a great job of it, no harsh reflections and no detail loss.

Hi David,
It's taken me a while to get back into the swing of things, back to normal...touch wood.
When I read your note, I instantly thought...18 shots of whiskey.
Then I thought (I'll have stop this thinking all the time, it givews me a headache) you shot the mug at that angle to conceal the two fingers inside;)
Anyway, nice sharp and colourful image for the theme.
Cheers,
Pete.
