A return to April 25th of this year, the day I also took Autumn Fog, Autumn Fog I, Autumn Fog II, Beijing Bound, Looking down, Sound of Silence and Monochrome for Vlad. I took this one standing halfway down the boat ramp at the Tamar Yacht Club, no sky in the image just water hidden by fog.

Hi David

I like the minimalist colour & perspective & graphism added by the fg ramp. The fog adds mood. The subtle reflection also helps here. Tfs!

Belle ambiance sur cette belle photo toute simple...
:o)

Hi David,
I just returned from a shooting trip in the fog, and had a hard time to really make something out of it. Any tips from the expert?
I like the simplicity of the composition. Which makes it a very strong photo. The nice diagonal line adds good depth and the fact that you do not see a horizon adds to the feel of seclution.
TFS,
niek

This is a beauty of a composition David, I love the way the world fades away into the fog.

Very cosy atmosphere as if you have this part of the world all to yourself.

A most relaxing picture.

Lovely silver image Dave.
The triangles and lines that make the photo more eye-catching too.

Hello David

A beautiful atmosphere
and excellent post!
I know that will have to wait some time
because you went to see the new willows, even
they to grow it will delay a little.
I will have patience to see them.
Excellent weekend..

Ahhh, the foggy mood is irresistable here. The horizon has vanished, creating mystery and a slight disorientation. Wonderful textures in the land area, and a stray "whisker" for a touch of natural humor:) Clear focus and good composition. Excellent work!

P.S. Love the quote, too:)

Hello David
A cozy corner for sitting on the rocks and listen to the silence, hearing one's own pressure strokes at each heart beat!
The mood is to reflexion.

Hello David, your trademark 'foggy' picture.
This is a beauty, full of mystery.
The very limited view is excellent,a case of 'less is more'.
The composition, sharpness and colours are all to your usual standard.
Tfs, regards Jean.
Your quote for the day is very true.

A very interesting image! That ramp seems to go into nothingness as if it were at the end of the world.

Hi David, Another fine natural-looking foggy river view. Their is something timeless about these shots. At a glance it looks like something from the mists of Scotland or Ireland. TFS. Murray.

I don't get this shot. That weird stick in the background is disturbing and the composition does not work.

I like the way the furthermost stone slopes into the water. Great composition David. It makes me wonder what was a little further away. .. a nice Mystery? (... and does the sun ever shine is Tazzie?.... not serious..LOL)
Barry

Very nice shot David, that white spot in the middle caused by the clarifying tool is bothersome, I would have used about a 2 or 3 at the most, but it's just moi! Nice details and YES I will be back...write me if alzheimers kicks in! LOL!

Hi David,
Lovely diagonal composition of the boat ramp. The vegetations growing by the shore are sharp and well exposed. A good feeling I get viewing this...there is also a sense of mystery beyond the foggy vista. Have a good Sunday. Danilo

David Hi:
Magnificent mood of mother Nature composition. Wonderful PoV and very interesting how you have impressive presented the fog as the only b/g.
Thanks for the note, as always
Congratulations, very nicely done, my good friend

hi David

This foggy scene looks very interesting in composition to suggest something like the front of a boat. I know some houses designed with this concept in mind for good fengshui!

tfs, bill

a good sense of mystery here done well by this good composition, whats in behind what i dont see? thats what i like about this one,
thanks,
scott

Very nice foggy landscape. The light, muted colors against the fog along with the hard, sharp edges of the rocks against the soft fog all make for a very nice to look at photo and creates a very tranquil mood indeed.
Good work, nicely seen and presented.

Wilt
