[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another from my adventures out trying to get 'blue hour' shots. This one was taken a little while after the sun had disappeared, but obviously while there was still an orange glow - 'orange hour'!

It was taken about 50 metres from the location of my last "Bolte Bridge" photo post just a few minutes earlier.

Using tripod, 5 sec exposure @ f/20.0 and ISO200.

Post processing was a little more involved than normal to get the look I was after. Usual adjustment of curves, increase contrast and saturation. Then added gradient layer and changed blend mode to overlay to darken the sky a little. Then re-size, sharpen, border, etc.

Hi Philip

Now I know why Whitenight was in Australia. I love Melbourne & prefer it over Sydney, despite the sometimes inclement weather. Good sharpness in this attractive 'orange hour' shot, with superb silhouettes and sharpness. Tfs!

Awesome photo Philip! I love the long crop here! You did a great job with the Fstop here, really nice detail, the orange glow is just perfect!

Well you PP efforts have paid off here. Great shot. Love the long panoramic crop, and of course the colors are the shot-maker here. Great silhouettes and twinkling light.
Great job Phil

Nice shot bro - pin sharp and great pano!! I like the twinkly lights from f20!! Real nice reflections in the water from the smoothing effects of 5 seconds.

Nice work!!

Say hi to your 'boss' hahaha...

Thanks for the PP notes Phil. I have to learn how to apply gradients.

Another nice night shot, very sharp and lovely colours, I especilly like the star effect on the lights.

That's a great picture Phil; sharp and nice contrast and the twinkly lights look good. Maybe you will set a trend for the Orange Hour!... as David is heavily involved in the beautiful Blue Hour.
