Uluru (also known as Ayers Rock) in central Australia. It was 40C+ in January, extremely hot and uncomfortable, but still one of the most amazing places.

Uluru is a large sandstone rock formation in the southern part of the Northern Territory, central Australia. Uluru is sacred to the Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara, the Aboriginal people of the area. It has many springs, waterholes, rock caves and ancient paintings. Uluru is listed as a World Heritage Site.

Uluru is one of Australia's most recognisable natural icons. The world-renowned sandstone formation stands 348 m high with most of its bulk below the ground, and measures 9.4 km in circumference.

Hi Louise, your thumbnail jumped out at me.
Awesome image of this well known Uluru / Ayers Rock.
The colours are so vibrant, but your photo shows such all the details (clouds, rock, trees, grass and colours) so well - I am very impressed.
Thank you for sharing

Hi Louise,
A different perspective and angle of this most famous attraction seen on every tourist brochure about Australia, i enjoy this partial view of the whole thing , in my opinion it is as good , the rock just pops , it sort of runs the show here , the grey clouds enhancing the brown further ,well done ,tfs
