[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These are some of my daily work tools.

It was to cold to venture out today, so i experimented some more with the light tent. The shavings were set up on black velvet inside the tent with a desk lamp on each side of the tent.

PP Work: increased the contrast and saturation slightly, resized and framed.

Very good idea Tracey,
combination of colors, red,blue, yelow with black background is a good contrast!

Hi Tracey, Excellent composition and experimentation! Initially, I thought it was a new logo for the Olympics or something. Great contrast of colours and tones against the black background! It must have been very difficult to get the lighting right. The frame tastefully compliments this sharp image. I like it. Well done, thanks for sharing. Tim

Very colourful and original shot Tracey. I think you should have shown more of the pencil sharpener though, it's a little lost here.

Hi Tracey,
I like what Tim said about new logo for the Olympics..in fact I think it's a whole lot better that the one currently chosen for the London 2012 Olympics....I should submit it as a belated entry. Aside of that: the compostion is nice and quirky and you've obviously put some thought into colour and layout. It certainly works.

I always like to see a photo of a very simple object but can amazingly turns to a beautiful thing, just like what you have here. Your object is presented sharp and the color is well-composed and the framing is right to it.
