Hi Tracey, this is a great composition on the red theme! Well placed elements, good sharpness and pov.

Well seen and done! Yan :)

Hi Tracey
Great concept, good POV and composition. Great colours.

The key to a photo like this is that it needs to be crispy-crisp sharp - but this one isn't quite (and is a little overexposed on the metal of the pencil-sharpener, too.)

I presume you used a tripod to steady the camera with such a slow shutter speed, but I think three things would have improved this:

- a slightly faster shutter speed (then levels adjustment in PP)
- a tripod and using the self-timer so there was no movement of the camera as you pushed the shutter button
- extra sharpening in PhotoShop or similar.

Good work tho

I like it :)
Once I also played with pencils...your photo is very well done!

Cheers,
Carla

Hello Tracey

Wonderful visual, I adored to see this scene, a good memory of my school.
This allies red in this I found brown was very beautiful and of prominence. Incredible details.
Congratulations for the beautiful look!
