| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
During a visit to the Botanic gardens in Adelaide recently I went inside the greenhouse which housed several mature palms.
The centre piece was a Blue Latan palm. Today I have posted a PP workshop of one of my photos of this palm. I wanted to emphasise the strong lines (or ribbing) of the palm leaf structure by converting to B&W. Check out my workshop for further info.
The impressive Blue Latan palm (Latania loddigesii) originates from the Indian Island of Mauritius. It has become a popular landscaping tree, notable for its striking, blue-green, large fan-like leaves.
Thanks for viewing. |

Hi Martin,
I like your pp, it really gave a nice dimention to the palm structure. The b&w really defines the ribbing.
My compliments
