Some larger than normal waves near my home town. All that is missing is the surfer ;)

amazing shot Chris.

Hi Chris,
You've catched the wave beautifully. The action is super. Great color and excellent work on the exposure. So many times the white foam is burned out, but this one is perfect. Did you do anything with the black b/g? It looks like it is not original.
TFS,
Niek

Mi piace molto quest'onda Chris.
Bravo.

Hi Chris,
what a great still of the breaking wave! Indeed, I miss the surfer too - would give me scale for the wave. But still the photo is great! It shows enormous power of the waves. tfs

The stilness of some portions of the water, make this look as if it was ice mixed with moving water!

I like the fact that you've decided to darken the sky, although the bottom needs a bit more clarity! Overall, this shows just how much more powerful nature is...

Hey Chris
I so this wave. Have you ever tried to surf on a wave like . . . . this one? I agree with you that all that is missing is the surfer:)Keep shoot them waves!
Awesome Man
Monika

Well done.
There is real power in this picture. I like the fact that there is no surfer. I like the depth of green and the fact that the sky is darker.

Beautiful
