Work in progress. These are pine cones in the few days of being soft flowers. In a week or two they will look like the more familiar pine cones we see hanging on the trees for what seems to be months or even years. An event to see this today.

Hi Murray, I was at my son's place a few hours ago, and as we were leaving I saw the new growth on their pines trees - just like this. But no time to take photos. So I am pleased you have taken the shot for me. And yu have the blue sky, while we have had a wet grey day. TFS

This is an amazing capture, where you capture the different stages in the same image!
