I have shown Sasha before, here and here. Although Sandy had been brushing and combing her on a regular basis her fur was becoming very matted. This warranted a trip to 'Top Dog' for clipping. After watching the owner of this 'doggy salon' clip Sasha over a period of half an hour I felt we would have been far better off finding a shearer instead. The photo was taken after we returned home. Suzie, our youngest daughter's dog was not too sure until she had sniffed her all over and the three cats were scared witless. At some other time another look at the 'new' Sasha.

PP Work...colour fade correction (setting 5), cropped, framed and resized.

If you love something set it free....If it comes back to you it is yours, if it doesn't then it was never meant to be.

oh wow David! That is quite some fur she's lost!
But I think she'll feel a lot better with the summer coming and all... Funny how dogs always seem to feel sorry for themselves when we have undressed them! ahahahahahah

It's a nice composition, but the chair seems a bit too bright.

Cheers!

Hey there David,

A hairless Keeshond, maybe a new breed for down under. LOL
Poor little guy, excellent shot and well done on the comp. Too funny. A good practice for sheep shearing.

Mike

Hello David,
The animal's looks and expression are too funny, but I'm still going to have to spank you for having turned Sasha into a pussy cat - poor doggy! Now, how would you feel if someone transformed you into an ape?
I am kidding of course - we almost burst laughing at your nude dog!
Do keep us posted on the progress!
Esperança

Bonsoir David
Joli le chien Sasha, il a l'air un peu triste, il est mignon
bravo

Hi David,
I posted one but it got lost...

Poor Sasha! :) She does not look happy at all! But I understand how its hard to keep a long haired dog with out getting mats
I think you are correct the sheep shearer may have done a better job.. But the bright side is it will grow back.. Keep us posted!!

Tricia

ps I clicked on just to see what kind of dog it was! lol

ohhhh ..I'm so familar with that scenerio...I used to have cocker spaniels and I'ld clip them in the summer...for the first week I swear my male was imbarrassed!! he'ld actually hide behind me if someone noticed him!! The cats wouldn't know who they were and would hiss at them..funny that just a hair cute makes that big of a difference!
That is one cute dog!! I love her sweet face...:o)
Cute photo and a nice doggie story..:o)TFS
Donna :o)

Thanks for the comments on my photos, "see" ya when I return from my trip!

Poor Sasha. I take that back it would have been if you hadnt had her clipped. The kee does have a horrid coat to keep matt free, like the hairs all have their own idea on where they should be. I've even threatened to clip the cats , well their tummys anyway, in summer up here. Havent done it yet but if this summer goes the way most seem to think it willthen I may well have twoo fuzzy cats and I dont think it will be much fun trying to clip them. Actually as they dont go outside a sissor cut on the belly wont matter if it is rough as long as it helps them, both have short coats but they are like a fur seal, so thick.
I love the expression on Sashas face, 'YOU did this'

Bonsoir David,
Très jolie petite chienne cette sacha, elle a subie toute une tondre de sa fourrure, elle a l'air toute découragée..la photo est très naturelle avec de belles couleurs, bien vu...Passe de Joyeuses Fêtes Michel

Hi david i thinking he is ready for the summer he may jump on the chair and have xxxx bye Shimon

Hi David,
Hilarious!
Poor Sasha, she looks so embarrassed for being "naked", she won't even look at the camera.
I sure hope her coat "dries fast" because she looks BEAUTIFUL with it on :D

LOL!!!!!!! Poor pup.
But she'll be better off for the summer.
We get Ralph a crewcut each summer. He ends up looking like a labrador for the summer.
Well done.

She looks so sad..!! I don't think she liked her new hairdress very much. I just think the chair is a little bit too distracting, pulls the attention away from Sasha. Hope her fur grows back soon.

All the best
Nuxa

HAHAHA! Poor Sasha! But I'll bet she likes the cooler coat! This is how we shaved our Chow one year. We left the mane, the feet and ankles and the tip of the tail unshaven and he looked like a LION!! HAHAHAH!
Great shot David...I forget it's hot down there!

Hi Dave,
She will feel much more cooler in this summer and she look cute too with the new look
Thanks for sharing
cheers

David, she looks soo depressed! What a poor puppy! But I know what you had to do: I once had a toy poodle with the same problem. Good thing that her hair grows back (mine doesn't).

Oh dear! Poor Sasha! She is a sweet little critter but she looks almost embarrassed here. Great capture of an awkward moment.

She looks like a totally different dog, she looks quite contented sitting here relaxed. Possibly glad her clipping experience is over. She will feel better with the hot weather coming. Have to clip my long haired dog in the summer to help keep him cool. He acts like I took away his favorite toy for the first few minutes then runs around like a made man... it is as if he is saying..."I'm free, I'm free!!" It is such a funny site.
Nice POV and good DOF. The chair next to her is a little over bright and somewhat distracting but seems as if she is waiting for her owner to come join her in relaxation.

Hey Dave,

That's one hell of a haircut!(^_^) At least she will be cool for the summer. However, she doesn't look too thrilled...

Well done
Constantinos

Sunburn?
Top Dog, clipper happy?

Have i done something wrong?
Not fair, making fun of poor dog

Like the photo :-)

Poor Sasha she looks like a shaved sheep now, I hoppe the fur grows back again soon :)

Hello David,
Hehehehehe... oh my dear!!
I think even I could do better, but then it would be a long way to go to get the clip...
The comfort is it will grow back!

Pablo -
