[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the sister photo to this image.

Shot handheld while standing in a queue to get into the pitlane at the Melbourne Grand Prix. Not ideal circumstances, but I think it came out ok. Many thanks to Hans (GreenBaron) for identifying these as "Pilatus PC9/A" planes - Cheers Hans!

And many thanks to Dawn for pointing out the 'R', my initial, on the tailplanes!

Shot in RAW, converted pp, cropped, resized, neatimaged, framed, sharpened and a smidge of brightness/contrast adjustment.

Now I know the real reason you went to Aussie Richard... You went to make sure they were flying YOUR planes properly!!..not only one.. but 4 of them..forget the race cars.. these look much more interesting..dont they ?

Another excellent shot, you can nearly see the look on the pilots faces..well done to you.

Ms Mack..

Good shot approrpriate use of zoom.
Good Fstop selection
Good shutter speed selection.

Richard,
Superb! The composition is perfect. The diamond shape, the smoke trails and the freeze of the props (again) is great here. Even the little matching border is nice. (I didn't say that did I?) THIS one could be enlarged for your wall....
VERY well done,
Scott

Hi Richard, the composition is perfect in this, the red planes against the gorgeous blue B/G stands out beautifully. The little sparkles on each of the pilots windows completes this. great work!!!

Dean.

P.s. F1 has changed a lot since I last watched it, what would Nigel Mansell think about driving these? LOL..

Hi Richard,
Another great shot, what more can I add good colours, sharpness and composition.

I might have to try and get tickets for Silverstone.

Tfs Andy

Hi Richard, I enjoy looking at the old prop planes very much. Very colorful and they stand out well against the sky. Nice clear image of the planes. Cool to see the props stoped. Well done, thanks.

Hi Richard. Very good action photo with perfect clarity and solid colours. Your speed has stopped the prpoellors in their track, amazing stuff. Good to see the R on the tails, maybe your next hobby flying these? TFS. Murray.

Excellent timing to get these so well placed within the frame. I like the flash of light at the front and the well saturated colours. Nicely sharp.
