Part of my Melbourne Grand Prix 2007 theme.

Couldn't think of a decent title, so called it what it is...

Taken from my vantage point in a gallery on one side of the track to the top of the grandstand on the other side. This is only one section of a vast array of aerials - I assume broadcasting television images and radio messages across the world.

No real idea what that guy is doing up there, but I hope he had a head for heights. He certainly had a great vantage point!

Shot in RAW, converted to JPEG, desaturated, resized, sharpened, brightness and contrast played with quite a bit, Neatimaged and Framed. Thank that's about it!

{shutter speed 1/3200 but that's not an option on the menu}

Great shot in b&w; strong contrast, good POV and mood (that man alone between a lot of antenas)...

I'm glad you too the shot Richard, he could have been a sniper! Love the BW tones here! Nice sharpness! Interesting!
B-)
Linda

interesting contrast in the scene here richard :)
good choice of b/w
it looks a little like the deck of a ship :)

koh

the tone is very good. goes well with the cold steel pipes & good pov.

Hi Richard,
Amazing photo! I love the tones very much and the subject is exellent.
congratulations.

Steph.

Hi Richard,
This is an interesting picture and not one that most people would think about, it's nice and sharp and you have framed it well.
I do feel sorry for the poor guy with all the rf from the aerials though.

Hi Richard... Interesting view to take...looks good in black and white.

Not to sure how safe it would be health wise for that guy though.. wonder if he thought of that ?

Thanks for sharing
Dawn

Richard maybe he was just trying to get an aerial view.
Like the use of B&W, details are sharp.
