[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Fences have been erected around Sydney centre to keep the 24 Heads of State including George Bush a safe distance away from any demonstrators who like to spoil these sorts of gatherings all around the world. The result was a virtually deserted city apart from many police and their sniffer dogs. Seems a little bit of an overkill, but guess it is better than riots on the streets for sure.

Hi Murray,
I bet you will be glad to get back to normal. As you say, overkill alright. It's such a shame we have to go to these extremes to stop the professional protestors, most don't even know what they're protesting about.
Cheers,
Pete.

Hi Murray

Good topical shot of the Apec meeting in Sydney, & with excellent colour, lighting & sharpness. The guys in yellow jackets really stand out. Tfs!

Hello Murray.
Why dont they just shoot them, if possible together with our Dear W. Bush. Cleaning the streets after in an easy job.
Good daily news posting.
Cheers from Jan

Hi Murray,

Interesting to see on the day of APEC meeting . . Lots of photographic moment that you can capture . .
It's a journalistic picture showing security preparation and anticipation of demonstration . . Very well composed . .

Tfs,
Tjutjut

We are also told he is staying in a 7 room suite in the hotel at a cost of $4300 per night, cheap for an International hotel. OK, after all the hooha over keeping people away from him may I ask has anyone heard who is paying for the rest of the hotel if no one is allowed near him and if the hotel hasnt been quarrantined off why the darn fences????

By the way, sorry for that but was irrrisistable and I do like this photo a lot. Not just a good photo but it belongs as a bit of our, not so illustrious history, TFS

I just choked on the comment that Jan made Murray, not a bad idea actually. For a dismal looking day in Sydney good colour and light. Well composed and fine detail achieved also,
David
