Freaky Friday Fear

Yes, I know it's early, but it is 11.15pm Thursday night here in New Zealand. I'm off to work early tomorrow and won't have time to post it for another 20 hours.

I purposefully placed this beauty in the centre of the photo - I think it suits it. I love her nuclear red legs and psychedelic colours - I hope you all do too.

Even the sandflies caught in her web have the nuclear red disease too.

This is another of the Norfolk Island spiders I saw while on holiday there in September. Her web was outside a restaurant window and I snapped her just as the sun was setting, and the sky was darkening.

Enjoy, and thank you Helen for another stretching exercise in finding something to post!!!

Yep freaky, Janice. Great job here for the theme. The spider is bad enough without the freaky colours. Well done.

Wanda

Hi Janice,
I've never seen a spider with such intense colours before.Come to think of it,the wee insects in the web look pretty psychedelic too.
It must be those mushrooms I had for tea!
Cheers
Steve

Hi Janice

How are you?

I see you're adding your fair share of eight-legged crawlies here on TL. :-) These sandflies have to be most attarctive I've ever seen. Must be a new and beautiful psychodelic species only found in our fine country. :-)

Excellent PP work and fright content. More shock value than I really need as I'm not too good with spiders.

Good posting. TFS. (I think) :-)

regards,
Martyn

Hi Janice,

Nice image, it lost the realism with the PP but serves the purpose of the theme.

TFS,
Pedro
