[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My contribution to the weekly theme was taken two days before Hazy Days I, another of those days in June of 2007 where the combination of fog and smoke from burn offs created these hues.

Some minor dramas over the last few days with my PC deciding to stop functioning, a repair of the OS did no good nor did a complete reinstall. Sandy tracked the problem down late one night and discovered that my PCI card had cooked itself along with my floppy drive. I am now reconnected and have recovered all the photos I had taken so far this month and the most important documents I thought I had lost.

PP Work…PSP X
Adjusted colour balance – cloudy day
Adjusted curves
Digital camera noise removal (noise 40, blend 70)
Perspective correction
Added slim border
Added drop shadow border using the script function
Resized and saved, then added the text

The photographer's palette is a thousand shades of grey ~ H. E. Clark

Exquisite shades in your delicate landscape. The line of trees on the horizon catch and lead the eye into the beautiful depth of the image.

Hi David,
A beautiful contribution to the Friday theme! I'm glad to hear your documents and photos have been recovered. What I like in this composition is the effect of "layers" in the trees and how the lower left quadrant seems to be the focal point in this photo. It looks really good how everything appears darker, more clear in this region then the colour gradually fades out and blurs to the peripheries. Excellent PP work!

Hello David,

Without looking at the name, I knew this was yours! It has your hallmark stamped in cool, refective water and silent, atmospheric mists!
Even the water birds, normally so noisy are calmed and quiet!

Excellent composition and perfect tones of colour to fulfill the criteria for this theme.

Glad you have recovered your photographs.
You had similar problems a few monthe ago if I remember correctly!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

TRULY one of your best ever David! Lovely grades of blue, great exposure here, love the early morning/evening light! So glad you recovered your files! I would have already had the big heart attack over it all! Super shot!

Most suitable David ^-^,

A wonderful addition for the theme, all shades of blue nature has to offer.
Somehow vaguely familiar, water/boat/a bit foggy blue, blue and more blues.....

What a terrible story - I hate it when something is wrong with the computer! Seems like you are very lucky that so much could be saved then!

Hello David
That's the shade of blue they use for staff garments in operating rooms of many hospitals to soothe tensions during delicate interventions.
I see a painting hung in a psychiatrist's office to lulle patients into a sense of security.
Admirable setup!
Best regards.
Robert
