[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This pelican was standing out on a limb and appeared to be mesmerised by his own reflection.

The photo was taken at a local park (Jells Park), the light was poor as the late winter sun was setting.

The photo isn't sharp (unfortunately) and I was reluctant to post it. The softness of the tufts of grass in the background inconjuction with the softness in the detail of the pelican added to the mood of the moment, so I thought it was worth the post.

I am curious what people's opinions are on this sort of approach, comments most welcome.

hello!

would be nice to sharpen it a bit and make the bird less white, if it's possible.

but in other respects it's an interesting reflective photo and perefect composition.

regards,
Lena

Hi Peter,
Maybe the bird is thinking about a nose-correction or so. :-)
Eye catching composition. Good dof and pov. Alltogether worth to post, indeed.
greetings,
Joop!

Hi Peter,
Yes, it is a bit too soft but the attitute of the bird makes it worth the upload...
The background is really, really nice as well...
And I am not very keen on WS but I uploaded one...Hope you don't mind...TFS, Marta
