There is a scarcity of fruit trees on our yard, one lemon tree and a young pear tree sums it up. The lemons at the moment are dark green and not very photogenic while the pear tree is not in its producing stage but looks rather attractive in its Autumn finery.

One empty fruit can sitting on a window ledge provided my model for this week’s theme. Once again a big thanks to Helen for coming up with the ideas.

PP Work - PSP X

Levelled
Very slight crop
Digital camera noise removal (noise 35, blend 70) (This to reduce the granular nature of the label)
Removed some spots of white and some staining
Resized and added the vignette border using the script function

Hi David,
A good 'Plan B'. We regularly buy this brand of canned fruit, particularly those in natural juice.
Make sure you get royalties from them for this one.
Pete.

Hello David,

I hope you are receiving royalties from the canning company for this, my friend!

You missed this quote, David: Aristotle say: 'There is more than one way to photograph a fruit'.

I just love this!
The image sharp, the message is clear!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi David,
Nowadays with commercialism and lower prices, it is no longer cost efficient to cultivate, harvest, and process and your own food. We have become too 'time poor' that we rely just buying them in the supermarket ... although this might not be a healthy option. Very good sharp image with excellent image clarity. Well captured and composed. Excellent shot!
Cheers,
Renier

Hi David

Interesting view of the theme
I like it, now I want to make apple pie

You could have baked an apple pie David and photographed it :)))

Our fruit trees aren't too interesting right now. We have some half- yellow lemons but Dave has copper-sprayed the tree and it would take too much cloning to fix up the photos...

So SPC is Aussie-made - we sell it here too.

Good idea
Janice

Great humoristic shot for the friday theme! Nicely captured.
Best wishes,
Achim

Bom dia David

Hello David,
Fantastic and original idea. This posting of yours remind me the «pop art» and Andy Wharol that I love. Excelent posting; very original, inteligent, and with a great sense of humor. I love this. BRAVO.

Hello David
Hello David
I had a long close look at this poster because I first thought of a layered piece of an apple pie!
If I mistook, it's quite a compliment for you because it does'nt show!
Too bad, I had breakfast!
G'day.
Robert

So how was the pie :-)?
Excellent entry for the theme and very different.

Well my friend of many faces, this is sure not your usual style at all. None the less you have done a great job of capturing the image. The letters took me back for a second because if there was an A on the end it is the acronym for the Society for prevention to Cruelty to animals. You can see how I got confused for a minute … apples .. animals?? . Well done for the theme.
Warm Regards
Wanda

Hi David

Lovely contribution to the theme David. You seemed to have the same problem I had with not that many fruit trees around but you did well with the canned version. A well presented photo that could be used nicely in a poster.

Wia

Well it's a shiny apple allright David, portraied on an attractive BG.
You have more fruit trees - we have none.
But just south of where we live is a fruit producing region, especially the cherries are wonderful, sweet and much cheaper then on the market when bought there.
Lovely vibrant contribution.
