Silence - yes nowadays they try to enforce wearing protective earphones on your head when working in noisy industries, however a lot of young people ignore it (probably already partly deaf by too loud music in their earphones).
This really looks like the sound of silence, can you call this water also a Sound?
I'm amazed as to how you managed to lift the fog with PP work. This also makes a very attractive picture with all those different colours on the boat.

Beautifully done! The stillness is tangible and I can see that a scene like this would be better in relative silence anyway - traffic would ruin it!

I love your use of the bridge as a framing element. Perfect placement of the boat. Excellent metering and contrast. All stunning!

Superb composition highlighted by the water reflection. The boat is positioned well in the frame, and indeed one gets the feeling of silence. (I also wear a hearing aid on my left ear which was damaged from attending too many noisy live concerts when I was younger. My attention focuses on the faithful moored companion and its reflexion on the calm river because it's isolated by a dark backdrop and the frame of bridge.
Of course, this peaceful scenery is an appeal to meditation!

Today I was thinking about this theme and the Bell of Liberty at Philadelphia with a title of Sound of Silence, but then I do not have such a photo and not entering the theme.

When I see your title, bang! That is a great one, and your photo is a great shot for it, with such a peaceful reflection on water and the arch at top, using bridge as top frame. The boat idle at the right spot of thirds. Simply great work.

Hi David,
This is a perfect composition with good detail and captivating reflections. Colors, background . . . mesmerizing. What is shrouded around the cabin of the boat? Is it some kind of mosquito netting?
A silent world . . . I have worked closely with the deaf, and can sign fairly fluently. If I had to choose to relinquish one of my senses, it would be hearing, but how I would miss music, birds, the sound of familiar voices. You seem to have made the best of it, and have a very positive outlook.

Hello David,it is the colours that appeal to me in this shot.
And the sharp quality that you have achieved.
The composition is spot on, if you had had the boat anywhere else, it wouldn't have felt right; the mast needed the space above it.
I like the crop with the arch of the bridge just framing the scene.
