Hi David,
Good idea to do that shot by this way. But I would do the inner frame a little bit bigger to have some more air over his head, on the left of his legs and behind his back.

Hello David,
This shot really made me think, not only about the photograph but the meaning!
Great concept! Are the the thoughts locked in his mind, is he reflecting, does he have a narrow mind, ... The small window gives the impression of confinement!
Am I digging too deeply? !!!!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Very fine window effect here. I understand the reason for the soft focus effect, of course and yet I do prefer the crisp version in your workshop

A very beautiful and poetic capture. The composition and the atmosphere is fantastic ; the b/w works as any colour would do. A great photo. Congrats, my friend, you have the «eye».

I love the thought of this picture in any form, my friend of many faces. It is such a though provoking image with the desire to know what is happening in his mind. Is he thinking happy thoughts, sad thoughts, just enjoying the view. A picture should make you think and you sure do that with this wonderful one. Great idea for the theme.
Warm Regards

I like the pp work highlighting the gentleman; the b&w treatment is most apt.

hello David,
interesting idea, well executed. I am a sucker for people shots like this. They make us wonder about other people's thoughts and lives. The frozen moment in time...as you say the window on the person and their mind is a genre of photography that I like.

Good one David, the window within the frame is a great idea, it concentrates interest on the gentleman.
There is quite a 'dreamy' quality about 'window' that appeals to me, well done.

Hi David - Imaginative PP work here creating an atmosphere with a nostalgic tough. Looking at the reflection of this gentleman makes me wonder what was going on in his mind. An original contribution to Helen's latest theme. TFS! - Cordelia :)

The b&w treatment and the Note makes this a compelling image and worthy of a second scrutiny. How I love to do this, sit on a beautiful park and ponder. Have a good Sunday! Danilo

Hello David
The glow effect suits well to the spirit of the man lost in his thoughts.
A pleasing mix of two artistic works.

Hi David,
interesting approach to theme's subject. I like the composition, turning the shot into b/w forces the viewer to focus on meaning rather that on visual aspects. Nice idea of brightening the square frame, but I think that the impact would be even stronger if the square-framed part would be more sharp (not necessarily blade-sharp!) Just my approach to this - the photo is still attracting. tfs

Hi David,
A thoughtful shot, timeless in its B&W treatment, and the gentleman in his hat is nicely highlighted, which overrides the focus on the grasses.
Best,

A lovely b&w picture - subject lends itself perfectly to this medium and the inner frame and lighter area works really well. An inventive and creative picture - bravo!
