A grab shot, because I was about to get very wet, of rain showers over Perth City and the Swan River. I know the horizon's not exactly horizontal - but I thought I'd leave it as it is as I don't think it detracts too much.

Nikon D200 with Sigma 10-20mm lens at 10mm. CL Polariser filter.

Hi David,
I like the pleasant visual distortion produced by your wide angle lens. This is a very beautiful vista of Perth from the river. I did not see the rainbow from looking at the thumbnail, and I'm glad I double clicked as it is a highlight and definitely enhances the picture. Best regards, Danilo

Hi David,

Neat shot! I like the double rainbow in the scene. Such a beauty of nature to view. Also interesting effect of the buildings. I think it would also be a nice crop of the rainbows and the buildings up to the first tall skyscraper, showing more emphasis on the rainbows.

Hi David,
A great shot!
Amazing colours, light and reflections.
The rainbow is the finishing touch of this photo; well done!
Greetings from Netherland,
Adri

you are breaking all the rules but the image is very intriguing. especially the rainbow peeping into the photo. have a good day.

Hi David, the capital city of the state of my birth. From the angle I would say you were on a ferry at the time. Good colour and a nice effect on the water.

Hi David

I've never been to Perth, but will get there one of these days! The distortion & rainbow work well here. Tfs!

I missed this view here David! Love this one, with the incredible WIDE angle, the double rainbow, always a gift!, and the gorgeous water, makes for an incredible piece of work!

Nice grab, I have recently got the same lens and I agree that sometimes it's worth leaving the horizontals and verticals to the discression of it. It works well here. Regards, TW

Unreal mate....I can imagine sitting there in Kings park with a nice stubby of Swan in the hand and enjoy this spectacle.
The half light/shadow on the skyline works perfect.
Good on you david!
