[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the second of a series of shots I took when traveling the southwest corner of Victoria. This is a well known stretch of road called "The Great Ocean Road". It stretches along a notorious length of coastline that has been nicknamed "The Shipwreck Coast". As the name implies this stretch of water has seen many ships and lives fall victim to the sea.

The shot taken here is of "The Twelve Apostles". Once there stood twelve such monoliths but over the years erosion by the sea has taken these magnificent rock structures and turned them into sand. The heavy clouds hang bringing incredibly stormy weather to this region. I hope to post some more of these images, highlighting the force of the ocean.

Hi Peter - a lovely feel to this scene, a sense of the power of the sea. I would be tempted to have a look at this shot with perhaps an inch trimmed from the top as that would focus more on the sea, cliffs and those magnificent stacks. Nice control of light in this shot, a very nice view indeed.

I find this both peaceful and powerful. Well done Peter this image coupled with the very good note serve as a warning to respect the earth and what it's capable of doing. Good One.

Bonjour Peter,
Je suis admirative... parce que c'est le genre de paysage/instant qui me fascine, la force de la nature est bien ressentie ici, et puis j'admire aussi ton jeu de lumière car tu réussis à nous transmettre les couleurs de la falaise...
Un coup de vent qui me fait un très grand bien aujourd'hui ;)

Very impressive photo. I like the light shining down and dark like good versus evil. The stones are called the 12 apostles. And your name is one of Jesus's apostle. The photo and everything all seems prophetic.

The rays of light are powerful. The diagonal shoreline with the apostles are great. The misty mood captured is surreal. Well done. TFS. Karin
