[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
There are several deciduous trees intermingled with the native eucalypts in the forest at Mt Macedon near our home. The deciduous trees are currently providing added colour to the normally green forest.

At about 10 o'clock this morning the sun was breaking through the trees and showering its light into the forest.

I'm on holidays at the moment, so I was fortunate enough to be there at the time to experience it.

Splendides rayons de soleil captés. Bravo.
Francis.

Very nice, well captured! Classic composition, but what's wrong with classic!

This is a gorgeous shot Peter. Love the light it really gives an ethereal feel to the shot. Composition spot on love portrait mode when used with trees really gives a sense of scale. Your exposure is perfect giving detail in all areas. Great capture. TFS

Peter

Hi Peter,
Nice! Really good composition. But, I think the best part is the colors. The trees are so gray that it almost looks like a selective coloring on your part. The green grass and yellow leaves supply a great splash of color to an almost monotone scene. Well done!
By the way, nice intro pic...good to be able to connect a face with the work.
Take care!
Richard

Peter, this a beautiful picture. The way you captured the sunrays and the splash of yellow leaves underneath is just magic.
I think that the strong light falsified a bit the light meter reading, darkening too much the undergrowth of the forest.
Not to correct your picture, but just to see if would be possible to show a little bit more details without increasing the light of the sun rays I tried to give it a touch of Photoshop. See if you like it

Heavenly light which makes the green beautiful, nice nature, nice light, nice picture, Peter !

Peter, this pic is absolutely gorgeous! i love forests, and rays of sunlight filtering through the trees are one of my favourite things! :) you've definitely done justice to it - your placement of the sun in this pic is perfect. just right so it doesn't blind the viewer, but it still looks incredibly breath-taking! adding this to my favourites!
cheers
-Tina

An instructive photo on sunrays breaking through a forest canopy to give light and life to the shorter growing vegetation. Well done!
