Another trip to beautiful Melbourne.. First day it was raining, last day the sun was shining on a lovely early autumn day..

This shot was taken in the evening light, about an hour before sunset from the same position (or nearly) as this one was.. Tried to get the feeling of motion with a slow shutter speed. Without a tripod I had to breath steady and try my best for a sharp shot..

1/3sec,f22,ISO100,+1.0EV and 12mm focal..

This is SUPER David! I love the motion blur here. I guess your ISO and all that made this possible! Excellent details, I do like the night shot better, only because the lights show up more! But this is grand!

Big wheels are allover world now... so popular!!!
Very good idea for long time exposure, that way you've achieved desire effect that is so cool. Also very smat idea to use wide lens!

Hi David
The movement looks really good here. Especially with the extra sharp timber on the left.
I prefer it to the night shot, mainly because here we can see the sky and all that is around.

Nice play on the shutter speed David. You have shown movements on the ferris wheel. TFS.

Good job on keeping it steady! Best I've managed on ISO100 is about 1/6th... I really like the blur - it's always nice seeing movement in photos! Great composition using the wide angle too.

TFS!

Hi David,
Wow, superb exposition of this big wheel in Melbourne. The slow shutter speed works quite well here, it adds a great effect to the composition. Nicely bright autumn shot from the land down under. Good job, David, TFS!
Best regards,
Kristof

Hi David

Beautiful work .
My compliments

Have a nice day

Hello David.
Perfect motion shot of the spinning wheel.
The inclusion of the bride deck is a good obtional subject.
Keep on turning.!
Cheers from Jan

Cool shot David. I agree with what someone else here said - the inclusion of the wooden structure on the left adds greatly to the shot. Excellent sky color too.

Love the shot David, great motion, well done hand holding for 1/3 of a second. I can hardly hold still at 1/80!

Hi David... so interesting to compare the two photos of the ferris wheel. Good job holding your breath as a do it yourself tripod. Interesting shot. I like the bit of motion showing. Making me dizzy as I write this. :) Looks like it was a gorgeous day! Lisa

Hi David...this is an artistic shot...great perspective..nice work.

Hi David

I haven't been to Melbourne or Sydney, for years & years. Maybe it's time I rediscovered my own country? Good contrast between the pin sharp fg & motion blurred ferris wheel. Good colour & lighting contrasts. Tfs. Have a safe & happy Easter!
