Cape Willoughby, Kangaroo Island, SA
This Lighthouse is the first one we have visited during our South Australia to Victoria via The Great Ocean Road.
That was late in the afternoon and it was too late to join a tour to climb up, in fact, there was not even a person to be seen.. There is some accommodation available in the adjacent buildings. SEE WorkShop ;)
Co-ordinates:35°51'S 138°08'E
## Please see the satellite view by clicking "Map". ##
Characteristics:White round stone tower with lantern.
Elevation:75m
Range:23 sea miles
This is the first Lighthouse in the series, in chronological order and will appear in my Australian Lighthouses Theme.
I hope you will enjoy the view as much as I did, thanks. |

Tas, I made a mistake when I contacted you via your intro page. You did NOT comment on any of my photographs. I chose your gallery to look at because of this wonderful photo "Watching Over" lighthouse. I really like the way you portrayed the sky and held the whites of the lighthouse and not letting them get washed out, as I've seen in other white lighthouse photos. Great job! You're still on my favorites' list and I look forward to more of your future postings.

Hello Alaettin,
Welcome back on TL, Like me you took some time off line.
This one is graphically simple and elegant. This is why it is so attractive. The lighthouse shape is also interesting. A small perspective correction would be worthed however ( horizon & vertical ).
Cheers!
Robert

ps.Small tilt to the left ?
Hi Alaettin,
I love the clean look of this photo a lot. It brings out the lighthouse most perfectly. The natural contrast of the lighthouse with the clear sky and sea is awesome. I also love the inclusion of the moon, since it adds that bit of extra to view at. The distorion caused by your POV is not disturbing at all.
TFS,
Niek
