A view looking across the river towards 'downtown' Brisbane as the sun sets after a rather warm winter's day. Great lights!! Also there were swarms of other photographers lined up along the river banks going for the same capture.. Good to see all the tripods out..

RAW, cropped and dust spots cloned out (got to get my camera serviced!)

Good lines leading you into the city, and tonight the colors of the city lights are not to bright allowing the refections in the foreground to bring justice for the picture well done .

HI David
The reflections on the moving waters look like a first frost on water it is most colorful. The high rises are all spot on with sharpness.
A very good panorama shot.

Hello David

A wonderful image of the city skyline. I like images with minimal flaring from lights. So you took this image at 2330 hrs. What was your exposure time? Excellent work

Jimmy

Hi David,
Beautiful POV! Not a surprise that people lined up for take a photo there!
Superb bright reflections of the city! I like the movement of the clouds in the sky, this makes a nice perspective.
The colors and clarity are impeccable. Excellent choice of this panoramic format!
Regards!

Hi David

You're making me homesick! I used to have lunch in the top floor of the Excecutive Building, far right. Until the Premiers Office closed it down, because 'Joh' wanted more office space. Superb sharpness, reflections & warm cold color contrasts. Melbourne & Sydney people often give Brisbane a hard time, & advise tourists not to waste any time there. But this parochialism goes on in other countries, as well. NYC vs LA, eg.

grt shot David the details and colours are realy sharp excellent pov not much can be said about this as pozaru says amaing shot tfs
bryan

Hi David

Another great nocturnal shot.
Great clear details and reflections.

Hello David,

Extremely good night shot.
Great light tones, clarity, aharpness and reflection on the water.

Best regards,
Tatjana

Hi David,
On one hand the photo looks a little dull, but on the otherhand it looks as real as it probably was. I think it had to do with the time the photo was taken and with the color of the water and sky. Anyway, I like the photo a lot. Both natural elements really draw the eye into the photo. The bridge helps of course a lot as well and the position of the larger buildings complete that feel of depth. The warm glow of the lights adds a nice fresh touch to the composition. The panoramic crop was a great iea.
TFS,
Niek

Hi David,I guess you must be larger than the other guy's , as you got the best POV:)I really like the sharpness & clarity of this image as well as the waters reflections.May I ask how long your exposure was,I can't see any evidence of noise which I normally get with a long exposure.

Cheers

Ron

That's a great photo; very clear and super colours. It would make a brilliant postcard, much better than most you see on sale.

Hi David,

Excellent night shot. It shows you knew in advance the image you wanted to get. You have to be there at the right time and even before. Be ready with all the necessary equipment tripod cable release... Light should be well measured and of course when we don't get a second chance, why not bracket (nothing wrong with this technic). And of course RAW PP to ensure maximum details. An excellent image that could easily be used for touristic, advertising or editorial documents. TFS.

Hi David
Couldn't wait for ultimate blue hour - had a plane to fly? ;-). Its gorgeous, I would say Brisbane is up there for having the best skylines. Reflections are awesome and the RAW file conversion was expertly done.
Super stuff
