Earlier this month in Melbourne - just a wide angle and crazy tilt of the ferris wheel that sits near the Yarra River. A fine spring day 'downunder'...

RAW, 10% increase in saturation and resized.

1/90 @f9, ISO160 and +1.0EV at 11mm

You got somthing with tilted horizons this week, isn't it ? :-) Quite a dramatic view of y'r favotite wheel. Regarding the quality, no remarks at all. A great idea well executed and presented!

Hi David,
Haha...this photo is also tilted, like your last one..:) But here it is perfect!
I love your point of view, and the buggy in front of the photo. It looks like the children has run away to the ferris wheel...
I love the bright colours and the dark bleu sky (Is it the ciculr Polarizer?)

Well done, David.

Salam David

Looking to this shot give me vertigo!
A different point of view plus such a wide focal is fantastic
The image quality is superb, I like the deep blue of sky

Regards, Alireza

I like the tilt, the distortion, the craziness of this shot - it suits the subject and the strong colours of ferris wheel, stroller, signs and sky.

Hi David

I used to go to the RNA (Royal National Association) Show in Brisbane, as a kid, every August, but grew bored with it, by the time I was an adult. Sydney has its RNA in Easter (March April). The tilt adds dramatism here, & the sharpness, color & punchy contrasted light are superb. Tfs!

Ah, your favorite wheel again!
The bright colors are the stand-out feature here ... right from the sky, to the stoller and pink signs in the foreground. And the wacky exagerated tilt .. yeah, that's what really grabbed my attention.
Great one David.

Hi David,
Effective wide angle and crazy tilt! This makes as if we were aboard of the ferris wheel...less the vertigo! :)
The polarizer worked so nicely here!
Excellent! Annie

Bonsoir David,

I was tempted to adjust the horizon in a WS... just joking. I know that Sigma 10-20mm lens is an integral part or extension of your photographic vision and tilting it as you did just add more dynamism to a point the image is almost staggering as the big wheel can be on people. Excellent PP treatement, saturation increase is not exagerated, in fact it purify the color (Pete Turner colors again ;o) )

What amaze me a little bit, is the eveness of the polarazer effect on you sky. Usually polarazer and ultra wide angle lens don't live well together. Must be the Australia sky. Beautiful work and TFS.

Alain

Really wacky but works well.

The colours are great and placement of baby buggy and shadow as a pointer is a great effect.

Hi David,
Ahh- very interesting view. From a person who has difficulties on Ferris Wheels, this is a great angle. Really nice details and colors here. Well composed. TFS Julie
