Light in Dark
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This was taken at Byron Bay just a few minutes before my previous post.
As I was walking along the beach to the pub this surfer was walking across the beach to the surf. Each of us enjoying the last of the daylight in our own way. For a moment he was caught in a beam of light.
Taken in colour and transferred to black and white. I lightened the foreground and darkened the sky then sharpened a little. |

hi Terry,
a dramatic sky!! sky changes everything doesn't it? this is very moody. i like the tone here.
take care

Terry,
The B&W worked very nicely for this shot, once the intense light beaming from the sky imposes high contrast areas.
Very good PP work.
Cheers,

superbe b&w
la formation nuageuse est splendide
très beaux jeu de lumière qui tombe sur le personnage
juste que le personnage est en plein millieu, je l'aurais un peu décentrer
bravo
Boa tarde terry
There is a lot of beauty in your composition: the sky is so grandiose and the man look so small and alone in earth.

Hi Terry,
I've been thinking about light in a photo lately, but I'm new at this and just haven't done very well. This photo amazes me. I love the lighting, DOF and cloud structure.
Technical pp question: Is adjusting the sharpness the last adjustment one should make?
