The outer Great Barrier Reef, where the swells of the deep, blue, Pacific Ocean, crash over the shallow coral lagoons. Taken from a light plane about 1000 metres up, enroute from Lizard Island to Cairns.

Hi Chris,
It is quite amazing surfs you capture here, creating an image of an almost abstract nature! Great diagonal lines and colours... Again the POV makes it different...

PS - Only one "problem" here, as the thumbnail doesn't at all do justice to the full sized image!

It is so intriguing - I really cannot make out the topography. But whichever way it is - it is majestic Chris. You are truly a globe trotter with keen eyes. Thanks for bringing in such lovely pictures
