[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken 2 months after the previous photo. An unusually heavy fog for January, which is at the height of Summer in the Southern Hemisphere.

I had to move around a fair bit to catch the suns rays as they pierced the fog. I guess I could have cropped or cloned out the end of the children's slide, but in my opinion that is where most of the effect is.

PP work on this one was minor smoothing of edges using Paint Shop Pro 8.

Hi David, You have been taken some good sun ray shots but this one takes the cake. This shot portrays strong mood..

I think the slide to the left is a little distracting thou but over all a great shot

chris

Beautiful again, David. Absolutely wonderful. I like it you didn't crop this.

Great capture, David. This scene looks very mysterious to me. Alla.

David,

This is an excellant shot...well captured. I would not have known it was a children's slide until I read you note. So natural..leave it there!

It's an asthetically great shot...do you hang any of your photos? This would certainly be one to hang.

Hi David
excellent image
bravissimo
congrats

great shot David

I am sure it would have rather difficult to get the effect of beams piercing thru the fog...but this is really very good by all means. Seems like the sunlight has spread thu the fog and the fog still doesnt seem to let up. Very good work TFS

a poetic beauty, thanx, (*_*)

Fantastic! So serene and enchanting, very beautiful photography. Clear and wonderful contrasts, tfs David!
Hugzzzzzz,
Fran

The light is beautiful. Great shot David.

Great shot! Lovely rays of sun traced throug the fog. great colours. Good you didn't clone out the elements you mentioned. Thanks to these imperfections the photo is more natural - is stronger. tfs

Marek

Nature at its best! Everything else "pales" by comparison.

Beautiful, David!

Hello David,

Beautiful mood in the park you captured here. The end of the slide is just completing the image as we can see in the distance.

The post is distracting however, perhaps you could have changed your position (POV) to avoid it.

Superb light nevertheless!

Finally thank you for your kind critique on my image: On the road*
Cheers!
Robert

I love the lighting! I've always been a fan of light beams. I do like the end of the childs slide as well. The only thing I could do without is the light pole. It doesnt add anything to the picture, just kind of needlessly divides the shot in two. To bad you couldnt have gotten in front of it and zoomed out. But if you were moving out around Im sure this is the best position to capture the light rays.

I'm deeply ashamed I missed this one for such a long time, David... What a beauty. I'm really glad it showed up on TL's homepage. Painting with light... the essence of photography.
Well done, TFS

hi david, this really has wonderful colors and awesome light, i am such a big fan of shots like this, great job!

thanks,
scott

Hi David
Wonderfull mood, very pleasing to look at.
To me this shot is not about object but the light. Faint details in the back to give it some structure. But the focus is more about the light. Nicely done...as usual..))
Have a good shoot..))

Amazing David, I also want to make one like this! As soon as I hear the weather forcast saying that there will be fog I have to find a place to see the sunbreak through. Have tried it already a few times, but 1) the sun did not come through at all -twice or 2) the sun already burned the fog away.
Absolutely lovely,

TFS
Els
