Fire-twirling dance
At Mana Island we were entertained each night with different shows. One night it was a Polynesian Floorshow and Fire Dance display with some of the staff from the resort putting on a show of their local dances.
Here is another action from the Fire-twirling dance from the South Pacific Islands. The islands have a wealth of spoken history and many of these stories are also told in dance. The women have their own Polynesian style of exciting and exotic dance with body movements emphasised by swaying grass skirts and flower wreath.
The men's fire dance, with flaming sticks twirling, is performed in darkness and accompanied by a compelling drumbeat. The dancing is a precise skill that is taught from a young age and is inherent to every Polynesian child's life.

Very nice action picture. When youlook at his concentration not to get burned.
I think the background and crop could improve the picture so I made for you a workshop!
Bye Janice,
Keep shooting,
Hendrik
