Jancie, this photo is really amazing...
The other day I made the remark to Wallie that I didn't like sunset photos with the sun directly in the photo, but here it works well, maybe because it's only half the sun, and there is not flare in the photo...
The clouds keep the light still under control, and so the reflections on the water are very beautiful...
The clouds give the photo a really special quality... One of your best photos, Janice!

Hi Janice,

Beautiful capture and well done on the composition.

Tip, F12-14 is good for landscape shots. The sun could be over more as not close to center. The USM, is a bit much judging by the water. USM does not have to be heavy in landscape/seascape, start around 90/03/0. IMO. :)

Oh WOW this is truly a fantastic capture of nature and it's beautiful displays it shares with us on wonderful occassions. Love this shot and the clouds are absolutely great.
The almost centering is not to bad, however the water is a little too sharp for me.
Wonderful shot! The coloring and contrast and an interesting mood.

Gee, what can I say? It looks like the opening to Heaven! The sun and the light and the clouds are spectacular, but I really, really like the sharpness of the water! Perfect composition and perfect catch, Janice. I know you hated for your vacation to be over!

It's a very clear photo, Its a relaxing photo of a fijian sunset too,(i don't know what too say, it really suprised me at frist), you know what, I love the saturation. I love all your photo around the island you must love it there, i wish i was there, there must be heaps all things to take photos of, yer! The clouds are also intersting.

Superb sunset Janice, wow the beauty of nature never disappoints does it? Those clouds are just perfect and the very low angle of the sun is also just right. What a mood shot....I only saw this one because it was on the opening page and now I must go and take a look at the other one shown there.
