Hi there Sweety. This is just lovely, I love your composition, with the sharpness on the end of the Frond.

I am pretty sure its a Punga frond.. its botanical name.. well Jancie will surely know that.

Hi Sweety, your fern 'frond' is beautiful. Very artisticly shown, especially with the blurred BG. I'm not sure if it was a Silever fern or one on the other many tree ferns (pongas) we saw that day.
We did have a good day, didn't we? And MUST do it again...

Hi Sweety,

A very nice photograph you have taken here, great colour, detail and DoF. I like the crop and frame also.

I would say this is a frond (koru) of the native punga or tree fern which grows to 3-4 metres tall.

The koru is the Maori name given to the newborn, unfurling fern frond and symbolises new life, growth, strength, energy and peace.
