Winter Colours in NZ

I took these photos last week in Albany where Dawn and I spent the morning taking photos of roosters, hens, trees, ferns and ducks.

Most of NZ's trees are evergreen; fewer than about 12 native species are deciduous or partly deciduous.

So when you see an area like this with many trees showing their bare branches, you know that they are NOT native trees, and would have been brought to the country from overseas over the last 200 years that NZ has been colonised.

The low sun was shining through the branches and I found them quite beautiful.

I hope you like them too,

Janice

Hello Janice. Nice sunrays through the trees, was not needed to sharp it up.
Cheers, Jan

Superb play of lights and great details all the way with most excellent composition here!!!
David

Hi Janice, the English did bring some decent things downunder. Lovely light and soft muted colours. Well done and TFS,
David

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Foggy Days IV’

I like this one Janice, the light streaming in under the trees warms up an otherwise cold winters atmosphere. The last of those leaves add some colour to those bare branches.
I would like to see it about a stop darker though.
Peter.
