Hi Janice,

I agree that the colours of the cherry blossoms are beautiful. And they do look good against the blue sky.

I think the fact that the flowers are not all sharp takes away a little bit. It would work if there was some sort of pattern in the focus/out of focus blossoms. But here, I think it just makes the whole thing look out of focus.

I'd like to see this shot from the ground and upwards with some of the cheery tree trunk in the frame. The point of view of someone lying down and resting under the tree.

Amazing that your cherry blossoms are blooming now - and we are in fall. I have a tree in my front yard that blooms in May and I have tried 100 times to get the full shot in focus. You have done well with this. It is very beautiful. A very 'cheery' cherry photo. TFS Julie

I have to agree with you, it is the overall effect of the shot that carries the impact!
It is the sort of shot that used to be turned into murals in the 60's, to liven a room and fill it with springtime!

With a composition of so many tiny flowers its hard to tell if they are out of focus, and if they are so what.
Its the results that count and it does look very pretty and spring like.

Focused or not Janice still a pretty colour and suitable for the theme. Wind is a real problem not only with blossom but flowers here at the moment,
