I Can’t Hear You

This is another photo in the series of some of the people I captured at the Buskers Festival at Auckland City last February 2008.

I took quite a few photos of people showing a variety of expressions and some of the crowd laughing so much, and I have now made a theme People in Queen Street where I am adding these photos.

I like to swap my photos around and put up totally different images each day – I believe that ‘variety is the spice of life’.

Anyhow, enjoy this image

Hi Janice,
You captured so well all the concentration of this woman!
Excellent close-up and tight crop. With four eyes she must see better than hear! LOL!
Bravo! Annie

Hi Janice,
I like the concentration on her face, the tight crop works well, interesting tattoos too, a nice candid shot.
Well done
Regards Andy

Hi Janny.... :-) Your really good at capturing these people in crowds..I had to laugh at Annies (Beger) words... seeing better than hearing with her 4 eyes.. ha ha..Good photojournalism..I do think you focused more on her chest than her face though, as her second pair of eyes seems slightly sharper than her face.. but you get that, when you have to be quick at grabbing the moment.. well done..

Cheers
Dawn.

The problem I have on any phone Janice but the mobile is better. Another good clear shot from your street series, nice skin tones and well cropped. An impressive display of body art too,
David

Well, she sure has eyes everywhere, Janice ☺^☺.
Zooming in can be quite effective, I like both views though.
Can't see anything to nit-pick about. D***
Thanks for linking to the other picture and TFS

Hi Janice

I haven't been too active on here lately - family and work commitments - but I've been watching your pictures and am interested to see you branching out. I love your crowd type shots.

You have an advantage - grandmotherly types (I know I can say this without giving offence, because you've posted pix of grandchildren in the past!) are usually the last in line for any hostility or suspicion when it comes to taking photos of people. Men unfortunately generate too much suspicion - particularly when children are involved.

Hi Janice,

You are so right - variety is the spicy of life - it's what I am trying to do as well - hope I succeed.
Yes I did see that lady smiling in the crowd.
Love the expression you caught here - something one can see in the streets on a daily basis - people with a cell phone glued to their ear.

TFS
Els

hello janice. this combination of eyes on the tatoo and accent on hearing is indeed quite interesting and very timely caught
